Boaz Mendzelevski, MD, Vice President of Cardiology, CoreLab Partners, will Chair the programs of the MACTO Cardiovascular Safety Workshop and the 1st DIA Cardiac Safety Workshop in Japan. Additionally, Dr. Mendzelevski will Chair a stream during the Exploratory Clinical Development World – Europe 2010 Conference.
During the MACTO Cardiovascular Safety Workshop, to be held 17-18 May, 2010 in London, Dr. Mendzelevski will Chair the full program. On Monday, May 17, commencing at 11:00 a.m. GMT, he will present two talks titled: “Alternative approaches to the TQT Study – is positive control still required?” and “Custom designed QT corrections and hysteresis control of the QT internal”. Jeff Heilbraun, CoreLab Partners’ Sr. Manager, Business Development, Cardiac Safety, will lead a session titled, “Hemodynamic assessment in clinical trials” on Tuesday, May 18, 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. GMT.
At the 1st DIA Cardiac Safety Workshop Japan, May 25-26 in Tokyo, Dr. Mendzelevski will Chair the full program and participate in several panel discussions during this two-day event. Further, on Tuesday, May 25th at 10:35 am, local time, Dr. Mendzelevski will present “Impact of Cardiac Safety Regulations on the Drug Development Process”. This DIA workshop marks the first opportunity for an open public discussion on the implementation of ICH-E14 guidance in Japan. Alongside Dr. Mendzelevski, other key opinion leaders from academia, industry and regulatory agencies will review and discuss some of the ongoing and unresolved issues surrounding this guidance as well as emerging trends in cardiac safety risk assessment.
At Exploratory Clinical Development World Europe, May 18-20 in London, UK, Dr. Mendzelevski will Chair a work stream on, “Safety Pharmacology Best Practice”, on Wednesday, 19th May commencing at 12:55 pm GMT. It is during this discussion at 2:30 p.m. that he will also discuss “Regulatory Trends in Designing and Analyzing QT”.
